Marissa Evans Alden is a seasoned technology entrepreneur and founder with more than a decade of experience in startups. She currently serves as CEO and Co-Founder of Sawyer, which uses technology to connect parents and providers of the best enriching childhood experiences to ensure every child has the opportunity to discover their own love of learning. Prior to starting Sawyer, Marissa founded the consumer fashion application Go Try It On. After being acquired in 2014, Marissa led the Growth Team at Rent the Runway until starting Sawyer. She holds a BS in Human Development from Cornell University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She currently lives in Brooklyn with her husband Ben and their daughter Blake.
Stephanie Choi COO & Co Founder
Stephanie Choi is a veteran operations executive with a background in fashion inventory planning and management. She currently serves as COO and Co-Founder of Sawyer, where she is responsible for all operational and financial management across the organization.
Prior to starting Sawyer, Stephanie spent 7 years as an inventory planner at Bloomingdales, before joining Rent the Runway in 2011 to build out the inventory and merchandising teams. After four years at Rent the Runway, her own experience as a young parent served as inspiration for co-founding Sawyer in 2015. Stephanie holds a BS in Business from the University of Oregon. She now lives in Brooklyn with her husband Tim and their two children, Maddie and Emory.
Andrew Fernandez CTO & Co Founder
Andrew Fernandez is an experienced technology leader with more than a decade of experience in leading development teams for e-commerce and mobile software companies. He currently serves as CTO of Sawyer, and is responsible for the overall technology vision and management of the product teams. Prior to co-founding Sawyer, Andrew was the founding member of the mobile team for both Diapers.com and Soap.com at Quidsi. He then spent three years as a general manager and product executive for various teams at Rent the Runway. He holds a BS in Information Technology from NJIT. He currently lives in New Jersey with his wife Nikki.
Ashley Seidman Design Director
Ashley Seidman has spent more than a decade leading creative teams across consumer and technology brands. She currently leads the overall creative direction at Sawyer, managing teams in both product and visual design. Ashley got her start as a visual designer at Polo Ralph Lauren, where she spent four years before joining Rent the Runway as Creative Director. At Rent the Runway, she built the creative team from the ground up and owned the visual identity of the brand, working collaboratively with product, marketing, and external agencies to help propel the brand to where it is today. She holds a B.A. in Graphic Design from Penn State University, and now lives in New York with her husband Doug, their dog Lola, and their two daughters, Scarlett and Willa.
Regina Eckert Director of People & Culture
Regina Eckert has spent over a decade leading Client Services, Account Management and Integrated Marketing teams at some of the world’s largest and well-known companies. She was the first Sales executive hire at Sawyer initially leading provider acquisition and business development before transitioning into People and Culture, responsible for growing and fostering an incredible culture during a high growth period. Regina spent the bulk of her career as a media and client services director at Major League Baseball, before joining Univision to manage their digital media strategy across their brand portfolio. She holds a BS in Marketing from Penn State University and now lives in New Jersey with her husband Damien and their two children Alexandra and Lucas.
Megan Riley Director of Sales
Megan Riley is a consummate sales leader with deep experience in building high-performance SaaS sales teams focused on small businesses. She currently leads the small business sales team at Sawyer, and is responsible for building, training, and managing the primary engine of growth for the business. Megan cut her teeth as the Senior Sales Training Manager at SinglePlatform, where she trained, coached and managed hundreds of Sales Development Representatives, Account Executives, and Sales Managers. She developed and implemented a time-tested curriculum for ramping up new team members to be high-performing salespeople, doubling new hire productivity. She holds a B.S. in International Leadership and Development as well Spanish from Vanderbilt University and lives in New York.
Ben Green Director of Marketing
Ben Green is an award-winning brand strategist and digital marketing leader with a background in education, social good, and early-stage startups. He currently leads marketing and social impact programs at Sawyer, and is responsible for developing and managing Sawyer’s external communications and consumer growth strategy. Before joining Sawyer, Ben co-founded and led an ethical manufacturer of apparel and dry-goods in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. After exiting the company, he built and lead the strategy department for Oxbow, a boutique creative agency focused solely on nonprofits and mission-driven organizations. He holds a B.A. in English Literature & Creative Writing from Trinity College. He now lives in Brooklyn with his dog Ellie.
Mollie Devine Director of Customer Success
Mollie Devine is an experienced operational and client relationship leader who earned her stripes in asset management. She currently leads the customer success team at Sawyer, where she’s responsible for client retention, relationship management, and support for customers across the country. Prior to Sawyer, Mollie spent twelve years as the Director of Operations at Resource America, an alternative asset management company with more than $20 billion under management. While there, Mollie was the primary liaison between private funds, investment banks, and hundreds of clients globally. She holds B.A.’s in English, Art History, and French from Trinity College. She now lives in Brooklyn with her husband Jamie and their two children, Edie and James.
Jeremy Salfen Director of Data Science
Jeremy Salfen is a veteran builder of data teams for marketplace and consumer technology companies. He currently leads the data science team at Sawyer, where he acts as a cross-functional source of business intelligence across all teams, and leads the development of data products, infrastructure, and analytics within the organization. Jeremy brings a wealth of experience from his time spent at technology startups. He scaled the first data team at Kickstarter working on products backed by machine learning before joining Spotify to build out personalization and discovery products. He holds a B.A. in History & Literature from Harvard University, an M.A. in History from UCLA, and an M.S.I. in Information Analysis & Retrieval from the University of Michigan. He now lives in New York with his wife Jessie.
